Nashville is a town in Nash County, North Carolina. The town was founded in 1780 and is the county seat of Nash County. It is part of the Rocky Mount Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town and county are named after Francis Nash, an officer of the North Carolina Militia who died during the Revolutionary War. Nashville is a small town that covers an area of 3 square miles and is home to over 5,000 people.
